Due Monday!
FAMILY TRADITIONS:
Tell me about any traditions your family has. Do you know where any of them come from?
Maybe some traditions have changed, or you no longer do them since you grew older.
What traditions do you want to pass on to your own family? Why/why not?
Be sure to include every day traditions (like Sunday dinner at Gram & Gramps, pictures on the first day of school) as well as holiday traditions (like Uncle playing Santa Claus and coming by on Christmas Eve, Birthday boy gets to choose supper).

Be ready to give examples from your own family!

Thursday...I should be back...don't forget, Laurel and Justin, you have our guest speaker to introduce!

Family Tree

Well! we had quite the short assignment today! I encouraged students to create a simple Family Tree in their notebook, only recognizing their siblings and parents and grandparents. We are talking about how simple this assignment would have been two generations ago. Notes: FUNCTIONS of FAMILIES and  TYPES of families, and how these families have changed.
Homework: Bonus Assignment is on engrade...

Welcome to Individual and Family Dynamics 120!

Glad to see so many interested faces today in class! Today we just went over the course outline, a school calendar, and decided as a class on a marking scheme. All of you received a username and password for www.engrade.ca This will be the website I use to keep track of your marks and missing assignments. Check it tonight; I will also be sending messages once in awhile via engrade.
